A timing belt should typically be replaced within every 50,000- 70,000 miles, give or take a few thousand miles depending on your make and model. It is important to understand when your timing belt needs to be changed and to have it replaced at that time. Timing belt replacement could be costly but could cause more costly repairs if left untouched.

The timing belt controls the timing of your engine. Over time this belt will loosed and stretch, this is when problems arise in your engine.
